Our Leadership

Quanesha Mullins

Executive Director, CHW-VPP

"I come to this work from lived experience and see myself in the children in my community at Creekwood South. I know that Children are my life’s purpose. I have taken advantage of every opportunity to increase my skills and abilities to better serve my community.  I have learned that to empower the youth, we must support and connect with families. As Executive Director of Port City Youth Empowerment, Inc,  I bring with me the professional skills of being a certified case manager through Southern University and A&M College, currently managing 35 families on my caseload. I am certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid from the National Council of Mental Wellbeing, and have a certificate of the Support Children and Youth Experiencing Trauma Training from the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. I recently graduated from the nationally recognized Community Health Worker-Violence Prevention Professional 60-hour training facilitated at Sokoto House Cultural Hub. I am an active member of the New Hanover County National Association for the Advancement of Colored People as the 2nd Treasurer, and have been serving as a Youth Leader at Warriors of Christ Church for 5 years. I was the recipient of the 2021 Women of Achievement Public Service Award from the YWCA Lower Cape Fear." -Quanesha

Quanesha awarded Woman of Achievement in 2021 for community service
